Finally had a chance to have buffet! My cousins from Kuching came for a few days during the Christmas period. So my parents invited them(and also other cousins) for a buffet-style lunch before they return. After choosing and picking for 20 minutes, we settled for Cafe Rosita at Dynasty - reasonable price, above-average food.

I saw this. And then I saw someone waving to me..Greg! He came with his family for lunch as well. Anyway, hope to be a passenger on your plane in the future!

My youngest cuzzy - so inseparable from his Naruto comic. Poor thing, his parents and big bro are in Europe for hols.

Seafood salad, chicken roulade with mushroom sauce.

Nasi kunyit, hokkien mee, black pepper lamb, chicken curry, Sichuan spicy beef, mixed vege etc.

Lobster, special-taste fishballs, chickpeas, more salad.

Something's gotta be done to improve the desserts!

My sis, me, jennifer, wandkey, christine. Girls Rule!
Aldred, bryan, alston.
My birthday passed by in a breeze. Had a nice lunch at Best Western - Carbonara Pasta was so so so creamy and lovely with lots of ham. The tartar-like sauce for Fish and Chips was super good! Lamb chop was tender and juicy. For beverages, we ordered a pot of hot chocolate to save money, XD. The bill was RM165 sth but I have a RM100 voucher, thanks God! Rest of afternoon was spent sizzling at the beach under the hot scorching sun thanks to voonhui. Next stop was Jennie's house - Game of Life is cool! When's our next game??? Yeah, it was birthday luck that day which made me won..muahaha!
In the evening, I walked to sis' house with linda to exchange gifts - my birthday gift, her Christmas gift. Thanks for the keychain, sis! Linda got stuck at my house somehow as sis' car appeared suddenly on our way home to fetch us back to my house- and I was on the phone. In the end, she had dinner and slept at my house after returning home twice to collect things. Lol. We watched Constantine and cut my birthday cake halfway through.
Major thanks to everyone who wished me happy birthday, gave me presents, spent birthday with me or did anything related! I'm now a mature adult!

Countdown @ 10:52 PM

Awaiting the arrival of my birthday.
Planned to stay awake till after 12a.m...but my brain and eyelids are objecting.
Anyway, how am I supposed to feel upon turning 18?
'Cause I'm feeling nothing.
Wondering if my parents would let me donate my organs after death, it is legal to apply for that after reaching the age of 18 right? I can't find related information about the documentation process on the Internet. Help, anyone?

It's Jesus' Birthday! @ 12:44 PM

Christmas isn’t Christmas,
till it happens in your heart.
Somewhere deep inside you,
is where Christmas really starts.
So give your heart to Jesus,
you’ll discover when you do,
that it’s Christmas, really Christmas for you.

Just ended my church masses marathon. Haha. Attended midnight mass at my Catholic Church last night till 1.00a.m. Came back and wrote Christmas cards. Tossed about in bed till 2.a.m. perhaps before I finally dozed off. Surprise awaited me upon waking up..message from voonhui," Get ready before 6.45". That shook off all my weariness - it was 6.34a.m.! Rushed to bath, drank a glass of water dad shoved to me and managed to hop into voonhui's car as she arrived.

Breakfast with her was another hurry - i need to accelerate my noodle-eating speed to maximum. (Eat slower lah you, not good for digestion don't you know...very proud of your speed lagi.) Helped Meifen to tune her violin but the peg changes position once I let go. Luckily only a C note needed the G string, so minor damage is done. Don't be bothered by these, performance is still great kay? Same goes for the others - Flute, melodian, guitars, drums, piano and choir!

Omg...I love kids! So so so so cute..!

Now check out my creations, muahaha!!

Christmas tree that seems to shrink every year.

Hand-painted cards.

Jesus in the manger with Mother Mary and Joseph. The 2 figurines are from KK. One's Faith, one's Joy! Ornaments and ribbons are meant for chrismas tree actually, =P

Candy bar and Rudolph. Just draw, cut and paste! Anyone wants them? Can be used as bookmarks..

Quite satisfied with this piece of work. Gonna make more but I'm so lacking of materials..always drooling at the colourful buttons, fabrics, alphabet stickers and ribbons in scrapbook mags..how I wish I'm in UK or US where you can find crafts shops.

Joyeux Noel!

Best time of the year is here!
Merry Christmas, friends.
Cherish the time spent with your family on this day..
..not to forget what Jesus Christ did for us!

Christmas carolling was great last night. I was allocated in the 1st group with Mei Fen, Mei Hui, Chang En, Mathew's sis, Pastor Daniel's whole family etc. Sorry, can't remember the rest's names..grown-ups mostly. Ohh, there's this little girl as well..i'm hating myself for asking and forgetting her name. Chinese names are just hard to memorize. Agree?

1st house we visited was quite cheery - there were at least 4 kids there. So cute. They actually ran and hid in the bedroom when we entered the house after singing Silent Night whilst holding candles. The mother went shooing them into the living room.

Then we carried on singing Angels We Have Heard On High, Joy to the World, A Gift and We Wish You A Merry Christmas. I shared my lyrics with the grandmother who keep saying she's illegible 'cause she never received education. Reminded me of how fortunate we are. Done with the carolling, it's teatime! Homemade cakes, jellies, sandwiches, longan and more. I took everything offered, well, I would be sad if my homemade food are barely touched by my guests. Good excuse for being greedy? I think this chocolate candy the mother gave me is still lying in my handphone satchet. Heh.

2nd house was the little girl's house. Her mother was asking me which primary school's better(Little girl is 5 years old), whether SJK(C) Chung Hua - my alma mater - gave pupils tons of homework. I replied," Really, really a lot." It's true. But probably all primary schools are more or less the same now, which I told her.

All 4 groups gathered at a sister's house after the christmas carolling. Met up with everyone once again..naturally, it was chit-chat nonstop. Then it was the session normal people fears - when the mic is passed around and you have to share your thoughts. Whatever, it is common in church activities, if you noticed. =) I blabbed about being grateful that I can join, that we should remember the true meaning of Christmas. Some people just pass the mic without saying, yeah, this someone even said," Due to insufficient time, I'll just pass on the mic."

And it's another dinner. I really didn't meant to eat, seriously, but an aunty pushed into my hands a plateful of beehoon, chicken, potato, nuggets. I eat when there's food in front of me, so, you understand. The crowd dispersed following dinner...and we went back quite late. Enjoyed the night overall. Looking forward to next year's, but wondering whether I'll make it.

Borneo Rainforest @ 9:38 AM

I was wondering what 'rainforest' is when asked to go. Not verbally, but whether it's a place to eat or play or that it really is a rainforest. Then mummy told me it's somewhere further than Lambir. Which means it IS a rainforest! So I gleefully agreed to go, hoping that I would come back in time for orchestra prac.

The trip was for Youth Fellowship from church actually. I thought the 4 of us oldies - you know who you are - were just tagging along for fun. But we were honourably pronounced as helpers by our pastor. And poor helpers who all sat in van with no air-cond, these kiddos took up all seats in van with air-cond. Fine..we had fun sharing cold jokes in the natural wind.

We reached after a bumpy journey of around 50 mins. Greeted by this tree.

Heading into the main building.

Apparently, we were very welcomed. There were even iced welcome drinks.

Model of the team-building facilities. But it's too expensive to use. Pity.

We set off in a shuttle. Lovely. That's our guide and with a cap on, our mini-size pastor.

SOP's property.

First stop. Animal Farm.

Mr. Peacock looks very arrogant with wicked eyes.
Herd of sheeps. They zoom around for no reason.

I wasn't listening. Guess she's talking about where we're going.

Right. 2nd stop. What do you think it is?

A waterfall. And a very small one it is as you see. That miserably narrow flow.

The water is crystal clear at least. I remembered someone drank it.
Hopped onto our dear shuttle again. Longer trip this time with plenty of sceneries. City dwellers, you know what's fresh air?

I spy! You spy anything? The faraway mountain terrain - looks like a woman lying down. Head's on the right side.

Get a magnifying glass. Eagle nest on the tree.

Can you differentiate?
Durian tree - pointy, tall, slim.
Mango tree - short, fat, round.
Walking down to the lake for a boat ride.

Tada! That's our boat.

I felt like questioning the guide why she doesn't need to wear a life jacket. XD

Any monkeys? Pop your head out...

Feeding time. Guide said that there are approximately 100000 fish in the lake.

Having a nap seemed perfect at that time. Very peaceful and cool.

Lunch time!! Black pepper lamb was nice.

The sign reads 'Nature Park'. Started off from here.

Jungle trekking..in the rain halfway through. Slippery mud and leeches. But I really wanna say something. I received 2 mosquito bites the entire day at the rainforest. At home, I get an average of 8 bites for hanging the clothes in 5 minutes.

Row, row, row your boat. Fun it was. Slamming into other ppl's boats..

Trail leading to another waterfall!

Short little waterfall. But the water is deep! Cheers to life jacket! Right, I can't swim.

Stream nearby.

So much for my Rainforest Trip! Thumbs-up..hope to go another time. Not much chance to go poking around in the jungle these days. Lol.
*Christmas carolling tonight!! Luckily fever's better! Voice is still a problem.*
