Spread your wings and Fly! @ 9:45 AM A graduation ceremony is an event where the commencement speaker tells thousands of students dressed in identical caps and gowns that 'individuality' is the key to success. - Robert Orben - *** One and a half year is most certainly considered short compared to primary or secondary school life of 5 to 6 years. Nevertheless, time wouldn't be able to erase the precious memories we share all the days we spent together. One good thing about studying A-levels right here in Miri is most of us A-levelians can make it to the graduation ceremony(or we can meet up often in these 3 months haha). Our graduation was naturally held at the Grand Ballroom, Eastwood Valley in the afternoon. Making use of the spare time before ceremony starts. The event began with the group photo taking session. First row were us A-Levelians, 2nd - VIPs, 3rd & 4th - Accounting(blue hood) + Mechanical Eng.(golden hood). After 5 speeches from part of the VIPs, they started to present us our certificates, or rather, an empty cylinder with a little note inside that instructed us to collect our certs outside after the ceremony. Our maths teacher, Ms.Winnie with her peace sign. XD The entire ceremony finally ended after almost 3 hours or so. Our class people were swift enough to jump on the stage and dominate it so that we can camwhore up there. Formal. *transform into Dementors* Our Head of A-level/Chem lecturer, Dr Lee. Being random. With Sarikei boy Dian Ying. Monkey and I. With Pollux appearing out of nowhere.Buffet style dinner was provided at the Musical Corridor, which was unbearably torrid. I regret not eating more though, thinking of how much I paid x.x At least the mutton was quite nice, if not for some tough, unchewable pieces of them. Bubi the fish-killer in dark blue shirt and Richard the comp.lab guy in blue shirt. Did we stayed for that long? Yes actually but we didn't go for the cakes. They don't allure me that much anyway...*hint of sour grapes* Back to topic, Mr. Anson came up with a chalet room key, saying it's vacant. You can guess what comes next. *** To all my A-level friends and peers, may your dreams take you to the highest of your hopes and to the window of oppurtunities your future holds for you. All the best!

KL trip - Part 4 @ 9:48 AM 6th July *** We made use of monorail, Putra Line and taxis to reach 1Utama and spent half of the day at the old wing itself. I was feeling utterly tired and sleepy in the first few hours, just sitting and letting my mind go blank. Winy's dish - egg with something. yummy yummy.![]() Jin's pork chop. Everything was just finger-licking good. This happens whenever there's a big mirror around.Another thing worth mentioning, Transformers must like me a lot - after the numerous recommendations and suggestions of it by people around me, which I have all turned down 'cause I'm not into it, the final bait I received came at the christian shop. A guy came up to offer a free ticket for Transformers at the 1U GSC that night, saying that a friend can't make it and ticket shall go to waste. The nnf bombed me later at midnight for rejecting it. T.T Uno cards and winy together was nightmare for suyi, jin and I that night. The game never seemed to end but winy insisted that we finish it. That took forever and I was grumbling nonstop. When we were done, winy called for a 2nd round. We dashed back into our bedrooms before she had a chance to complete her sentence. 7th July The last day!! Blogging is no easy work.. Suyi accompanied me to Lot 10 to buy a winter cloak. It must be the fastest purchase I made for we were running out of time. Then we half ran to The Loaf at Pavillion where I bought some bread and buns. In the meantime, mau and jin rushed to Low Yat to get mau's Omnia. LL and winy walked to The Loaf and came back to get our luggage downstairs into the van. Must have been hard work, my heartfelt thanks to you two!! ^^ |
