The hapless trip x.x @ 4:06 PM

Interview's over! But the whole trip is just bad, plain bad. Everything went wrong from the very beginning. I guess you all know about the big flood Miri had last Sunday. I was still at home, doing last minute preparations before leaving for airport. First, the electricity tripped off cause of the thunder. Then, a balcony upstairs gets flooded due to a blocked drainhole, water almost came in. And my mum and I were so busy trying to deal with the balcony mini flood, not realizing the car porch was flooded too so the doormat and slippers were drifting away!

Anyhow, the trip from home to airport was another scary thing. The main roads and highways were largely flooded, esp. the stretch between Boulevard and Pelita. Very fortunately, my Proton Wira did not die out like many other cars.

Water everywhere.

Under the flyover.

Flight was delayed like expected. Ohh, a silly me even dropped my phone outside my car!! I was absolutely lucky no one stole it for the 10 minutes I was checking in and all. Poor thing was wet, as the pouch was already soaked thoroughly. Ended up drying it using the hand-dryer in the departure hall's toilet, hehe.

Tune Hotel, was not, as the website said, a 7 mins walk from LCCT Terminal, more like, 10 mins, with no proper walkway or directions. Whatever, I took it as a late night exercise. As thought, the room was a really small one, roughly 3m X 3m. Facilities are okay though.

I took pictures of myself out of the blue! Killing time the next morning. Woke up too early and can't get my mind to work on the interview. Very artistic walls there huh?

View outside. See the red herd afar? Taxis. Probably 100+

Big contrast if you just turn and look on the other side of the hotel.

Bon Voyage!

Took a RM8.00 bus ride to KL Sentral. Then a taxi to Shell House, Damansara Heights. Reached there at 10 sth, when my interview was scheduled at 12.30p.m.

Waiting and waiting, with cold hands. There were a few others as well. The look on the faces were more or less the same, xD. Suprisingly, my turn came earlier, around 12.oo noon. It's weird that the heart-thumping sensation vanishes as soon as I started walking with my interviewer towards the little room, just like during my IELTS. Kept telling myself that I was just gonna have a nice chat with a stranger.
So, the interview started and ended off with a handshake. I'm keeping the details in secret, shhh! Haha, come ask me personally if you are interested in it. Perhaps it's a disadvantage of getting the interview early, I don't get to know what I'll be asked about!
It was most certainly time for lunch after that. Since I had been carrying an empty stomach for a long period. Transitted from taxi to monorail at KL Sentral, arriving at Low Yat Plaza.

And here's my tantalizing Katsu Don! Somehow I always end up eating this dish at Japanese restaurants. But the one I had in KK was much tastier, with garlic rice and lovely miso soup.

The notebook that caught my attention. One of the HP Pavillion series. I'll look out for it tomorrow at the Pikom PC Fair! Woohooo..
After wandering and collecting a stack of notebook brochures for almost 2 hours, I bought a new pair of earphones for my handphone. My old one is spoiled, well, one side of it. I had no idea how much it should cost and went around for some 'research' - most sell at RM50+. So expensive! Thus it's time to apply the skills you need in China - cutting price..48..45..40..38..35..32!

Simply a world of electronic devices.
Monorail's here! Heading backk..

Departing from KL Sentral to LCCT - sat right at the back. Bumpy bumpy.

And it was raining cats and dogs. Thunder and lightnings joined in.

Williams Sports Car - roadshow at LCCT. Cool.

Rice - RM2.90. Chunks of onion, pineapple and cucumber - RM3.00. At a low cost carrier terminal. Trying to compensate for the low airfares?

And a RM5.90 chicken briyani. I can have a generous portion of nasi briyani with lots of vege and meat at Fairuz's shop for this price!! Duuhh.

Delay wasn't too long, thank God. Boarded the plane at 7.00p.m., as the clock shows in the photo!(Won't know it otherwise, hehe =)
The plane shook quite badly all of a sudden as we neared Miri. The worst I experienced I would say. I was jolted up from my seat, left and right etc. Scared me. And the girl sitting next to me, who started to use the brown bag provided. But she didn't vomitted, thankfully. Passengers went 'whoaa..', and grasping for handles. Glad that it lasted for around 15 seconds only. Phew.
The ill-fated trip has a blast ending. My dad lost the car keys! So my mum had to come pick us up. I'm just thankful we don't live in KL. Imagine how long it would take. And I'm having an irritating flu now! Such a bother.

*lesson of the day* It's a blessing to have good food!! (Tauhu from Kok Chee Kitchen, formerly Tasty Point 2)
