oh folly @ 8:55 PM I just discovered that today is 30th June and not 1st July..thanks to myself for setting the wrong date in my laptop after I came back from UK. So I thought the results are to be released today and thus sent an enquiry email to the uni. Didn't cross my mind that my calendar-in-mind is one day ahead when the badminton court lady repeated my booking over the phone as "blablabla, tomorrow, which is Thursday". I almost told her shouldn't it be a Friday but then didn't cause I thought it doesn't matter anyway. Lols. Didn't cross my mind either when I see all the 0630 and not 0701 in forums. Or the date printed obviously on the newspapers. Still didn't cross my mind when I first read the email replied by Tracy. Saying that the results can be known after the exam board tomorrow..and the date she sent was a 30th June. My brain must had been down!! I figured it was the time difference and she sent it yesterday.. =_= So some time later I re-read the mail and was thinking of asking my tutor about my results as it is "tomorrow" already. Then I re-read the mail+date again. And again. And finally realized something is fishy. Blanked for a few seconds and ran to grab my clock for a look. And got very speechless. Okay, so much for reporting such a stupid story here. What's up next? Mmm..dream last night? First, there's the mysterious appearance of a list of everyone's results plus ranking for sem 1 in my mum's office lol. For some reason my ranking in my impression was 251 XD only after waking up then I chuckled that I don't know my ranking actually and that there's only 220+ ppl in our course. Then, I flew back to Manchester and met a lot of random friends there at the airport. Since I had brought all my stuff back home, I was travelling empty-handed and thus people were asking why I wasn't carrying anything. So I explained that I had flown back already and I'm flying home again. But when asked why I'm flying to and fro, I couldn't think of a reason so I said I forgot. My gosh. The power of dreams :P The airport was really quiet and empty. And when I boarded the plane, I was surprised to see there weren't any TVs! I thought I must be taking AirAsia but lol, no, it was Emirates! And the plane is a Boeing 737 - 6 seats per row. My seat number was 21D..(how precise my dream can get hahaha). Then this girl sitting in 22C was asking me to move away. I questioned why and she told me something about the girl in 22D having a bad fall and got injured seriously. I was shocked and wanted to question further but then suddenly I couldn't hear or understand what the girl was talking about. Then I moved away. ..heavy absence of logic!!! XD Touching down in Miri, (yes, the plane flew straight from Manchester to Miri, how cool..I don't know how long it took cause I slept all the way through and missed all the meals.) my manchester friends suddenly all appeared too. Apparently they came for vacation XD. We hopped onto a taxi van or something and set off. Here's the coolest part. Miri was so different in my dream!I can visualize it very well how I saw it when I was sleeping but oh wells, I'll try my best to describe it in words. Night time when we reached so the sky was a dark shade of blue with no specks of clouds hanging anywhere. There weren't any hints of sea or hills either. Just a wide, borderless piece of flat land. No other vehicles on the road, it was very serene and silent. By the roadsides were moors stretched afar, with silhouttes of trees here and there. Buildings were rather sparse..but brightly lit and uniquely constructed they were. Most weirdly, next to each and every of them was a roller coaster. As if the roller coaster came along with the building. Right, by now I'm pretty convinced I'm a failure at description because I think I made it sound sort of eerie or creepy when it's supposed to be simply beauuuuuutiful! =S *gives up* Should I even carry on boring you with this..it's not the end yet actually. In fact, we arrived at an even more breathtaking place! So dashingly awesome I knew it was the prettiest scenery I have ever seen. It was a different world altogether...moreover, some most unexpected people turned up...and lol lol lol, i acquired the superpower of treading air - "qing gong"..bwahahahaa! Sorry for not adding in details of the dazzling place but I guess no one's very into it anyway, hahah. End of randomness for today. P/S: Re-confirmed that my brain is all rusty. Half the afternoon after failing to send out a text, I couldn't understand what was the problem because I just sent one right before the problem arose. Only when I complained about it to my mum who straightaway asked, "You still have credit?" did the answer dawned upon me.

go with the flow @ 11:31 AM WARNING: This is a word heavy post with 0% image. It is destined that the rate of blogging plunges worst during holidays. For two very simple reasons. No.1, there are plenty of other interesting stuff to do, be it onlining or away from the laptop. No.2, I haven't thought of anything to blog about, well just one, but it's not the time yet. Thus the dead blog this week. Actually these statements I'm making sound familiar. I wonder if I have posted the same things before, lol. 1000 apologies for that if so...you've gotta consider the aging memory of mine. Do tell me if you happen to know any proven effective way of improving human memory! *desperate* XD It has been a rather peaceful holiday so far. Meeting up with friends and dating with my laptop or violin at home. Lovely life ehh? But I'll probably turn into a fungus if I were to live like that all my life. Lalala.. As you can see, I'm just talking crap here to lengthen my post. Pathetic to the max T.T Maybe I should have watched some World Cup matches so I can comment something about them. From what I know, Europe performed quite badly with only 6 countries qualifying for the 16. Asia has South Korea and Japan making their way in somehow, which is a great achievement already..since Asia is certainly not well-known for football all along. *clap hands* S.Korea shall be playing against Uruguay tonight to fight for a place in the 8 rounds. The later is without doubt a stronger team but anyway, the World Cup this year has been unpredictable and surprising so who knows? Anything in the future lies unknown before it happens and no one can say for sure how things will turn out to be like. Good luck to all the teams.. Speaking of football teams, I can't help but feel sorry for the North Korea players. Coming from a destitute country, their wages are rumoured to be a mere RM5.65 per month(and this just makes Rooney's or Ronaldo's salaries more outrageous!). It is the North Korea's team 1st appearance on Fifa World Cup in 44 years and I guess that explains the streaming tears of Jong Tae-Se during their national anthem. I don't know how much hardship they went through to get into the 32 teams but I'm sure it won't be less than any other teams'. Despite the fact that there probably weren't any North Koreans cheering for them on spot(the strict communist land bans the citizens from leaving their country freely), the players still tried their best with dignity without any fouls. They've got my respect :) Doesn't matter that they failed to qualify for the final 16 because the way they played was still better than deliberate acts or spiteful tactics used by some foolish players. Besides, it's sad to see the adversity they face in South Africa - quote from Brian Phillips at Yahoo! Sports - "because they can't afford better accommodations, they're doing some training in a public gym in Johannesburg... you can see them running routes around guys on the way to the Stairmaster, taking tourist videos of musclemen, and playing keepie-uppie in the aisle between rows of weight machines. In the meantime, the Brazilian players are smoking thousand-dollar bills in a hotel made out of Bentleys." It's always touching to see how the less privileged are more grateful than those with the upper hand. I can't find it online but there were pictures I came across on the newspapers showing the NK players looking at the sea with bright smiles, happily eating the food provided and watching movie at the cinema. Simply epic. Imagine how their daily lives are like for them to be so contented with these stuff. But what is worrisome is the fate that awaits the team when they get home. The heavy loss might be seen as an embarassment to Kim Jong Il and the consequence it leads to is not at all a pleasure to think of. Baah, just thinking about the ruthless dictatorship in the country where human right doesn't exist flares people up. It's a wonder how the residents there live with such absurd civil liberties. Still can't accept the way the ruling party thinks and handles issues, just like how I can't imagine Lady Gaga as a person. The more I ponder about these subjects, the more confused I get. x.x So I guess better stop my ramblings here before I get condemned by the numerous parties I have probably offended above. come on, it's just a mixture of facts and personal opinions. take it or leave it =P And I have to salute whoever actually read this post word by word. Heartfelt gratitude to you, lol! |
