Doubted Anticipation @ 5:26 PM

And finally it's a post with some pictures! People just love looking at pictures more than reading words huh.. okay yeah, here's another random post. I think I'm flooding my blog with random posts but who cares, lol, life would be boring if rules have to be followed all the time!

She insisted on making an appearance here in case she is much missed by some X)

Nope he didn't gain weight. I need to work on that.

Chiang chiang~~my dear violin nicely coated with a layer of dust =/ Thou shall not abandon you anymore.

I always thought the scroll looks elegant. The pegs...broke my string previously, well fine, it was my fault.

Still , the whole instrument is beautiful right! :D

One cloudy Sunday evening...

Somehow I got myself busy with all kinds of things these days so I haven't found the chance to declare I'm bored yet. I hope I won't! And I'm still waiting to eat laksa, butter chicken rice, nasi lemak etc... T_T

2 muffins for me

3 and counting. @ 5:44 AM

Suddenly I find myself in the midst of exams already. It is just so true that time slips away ever so quickly once you start the first paper, in my case, maths. Held in the big basketball court on top floor of Sackville Street Building, this time we weren't lucky enough to catch the never-comes/forever-full lifts. No choice but to climb the stairs from floor C to floor K. *do fingers count* EIGHT floors.

That was the 1st paper - over! And the next morning I made a wonderful discovery - my student ID card was missing. Couldn't recall myself putting it back in my bag so I concluded I dropped it in the exam hall. Some luck. So the next day I flew up the stupid stairs again in hope to catch the invigilators for some other courses' paper which just ended. It turned out any ID cards found were sent to the Examination Centre down Oxford Road along with all the answer sheets. Off I went with a glimmer of hope and was directed to the Students Services from there...and hurray! My ID was really there! :) So glad..thought I needed to waste 10 pounds to make a new one. Thank God someone picked it up! okay, thanks to whoever did that too.

Dramatic start to my exams, phew. Now there's 2 papers left. The two scariest intimidating modules - Thermodynamics and Transport Phenomena. *shivers* Sometimes it's the books and lecturers that sink our confidence.

From our thermo professor, "Even if you do all the past year papers, doesn't mean you can pass the paper."

From the first page of our EBL booklet,
"The three laws of Thermodynamics:
You cannot win,
You cannot even break even,
You cannot get out of the game.."

(Lol these aren't the real ones if you are confused.)

From last page of "Elements of Chemical Reaction Engineering",
"This is not the end,
This is not even the beginning of the end,
But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning."
- Winston Churchill -

Can't blame us to get depressed at times ehh?

But oh wells, there are fun parts too! Lecturers aren't always nerdy and strict..ours can be rather funny (though sometimes lame and resulting in them laughing on their own). Have a look at our mcq sample questions.

You seriously feel like banging the wall doing these questions.

Or maybe just drop dead trying to read/understand these books.

That's why you need lots of food to keep yourself hanging in there. Hmm yeah, those are all bags of crisps, instant noodles, biscuits etc.

Tadaa! My super messy and disorganized tabletop..(high entropy? XD). No laah, few of us studying together so of course everything is everywhere!
Okay. I really shouldn't be here writing silly stuff. Carnot cycle is feeling lonely. toooooooooooodles. next time i blog it's gonna be happy days already, wheee :D

Thanks for being an eye candy and a source of motivation in the midst of temperatures and heat transfers, rainbow...

Fine. I'm just being random and crapping a little here to take a break off the vicious brain killer project, proving myself to be a diligent blogger at the same time, clap hands :P

3 muffins for me

it's spring! :D @ 8:07 AM

Momo and almond+cherry cookies on Friday night...fattening but oh so yummy.

***
Anyway you can see the decrease in my rate of blogging lately, I apologize about that but then I can't do much about it cause I simply do not have the time to! Have been whimpering that I want 36 hours a day...X) Sp what have I been up to lately besides sleeping and eating and bathing..?

Visit to Cargill! Who claims itself to be the biggest global company you have never heard of. Had lots of fun exploring the plant manufacturing flour from wheat, eating brans that tasted really bland and getting my hands sticky and coated with the dough and gluten. Yeah, and the 6 of us Malaysians were lucky to have the Refinery Plant Manager - Mike, to be our guide that day as we were split into groups of 7 to go around the factory grounds. He has been working in Cargill for 17 years so he basically knows the place like the back of his hand.

Future chemical engineers plus Mike (in blue uniform)! Good luck spotting me~

Keeping an eye on the pride of our nation! Congrates on your All England win! Maybe you were not in your best form that day during the final match, maybe Kenichi Tago's skills has jumped a mile over the past few months, maybe your stamina is responding to your silently climbing-up age, yeah, maybe that's why it was such a close match...maybe your English isn't the best, maybe you just love to use "maybe", but I'll still support you right to the end of your badminton career when you decide to retire and let the next generation shine. XD You have no idea how nerve-wrecking it is to listen to the final match live!

This is part of the lab report that drained my energy and time over the past few days. But scrolling through your own work of endless tables, graphs, calculations, explanations just somehow gives yourself the wondrous satisfactory feeling :)

And I soo want you!!! Coffee colour would be even better. But why do you have to be so expensive?... :( I want a mp3 + video player tooo. This is baad. Cravings for unnecessary stuff. Arghh.
