KL trip - Part 1 @ 2:56 PM

So begins the post on the NNF’s 6D5N trip to KL. NNF is an acronym for…?? Shhh. Here are the members: Me, Ling Lee(LL), Su Yi, Winy, Maurice(Mau), Chu Jin(CJ). You’ll see the short forms in my upcoming posts..hehe..
2nd July – 1st day

We were instructed by LL to arrive at Miri Airport by 5.20a.m. because our flight was at 6.20a.m. I arrived latest at almost 5.30a.m., so sorry guys! Heh. Didn’t meant to, not my fault anyway, yoghurt’s fault. And my dad was driving 60km/hr along the empty bypass until Mau and Winy called one after another..he accelerated to 100 something.
I guess the 6 of us were the noisiest in the Departure Hall, where most passengers were grown-ups. And there was only 1 person besides us who wore masks. Prevention is better than cure, people! Don’t look at us as though we are aliens.

Our flight.

In the departure hall.
Still dark outside as you can see.

Breathtaking scenery of fluffy clouds.

Omelette with baked beans and hot dog.
Nasi Lemak - my choice. But their omelette was so nice too.

Flight was quite smooth all the way till we neared KL. The bright blue sky outside turned to gloomy grey clouds with plenty of mini air pockets. Whatever, we touched down safely, happy to see that it was not raining as announced earlier by the captain.

Model citizens XD
We took a bigger cab, not a limousine, to KL Plaza where we would be staying for the rest of our trip. Big thanks to LL for providing us with the condo..FOC! The condo consisted of 3 bedrooms, one of which was occupied by her cousins for the first 2 nights. So the girls took the 2 bedrooms left while the boys took the living room.

This was where we stayed. 19th floor.
Lunch was at Pavillion’s Food Court. (Happy to say that Pavillion is just a stone’s throw away from KL Plaza.) Took us quite some time to decide where to eat. Our next stop was Golden Screen Cinemas, as quite some people wanted to watch Transformer 3. Not me though. But guess what?? The available seats left for Transformer were too close to the screen so…we bought tickets for Ice Age 3 instead =D The 3D version. CJ was insisting that it is 4D that gives the special glasses. I cared more for the pricey ticket. RM18!! For a movie!
LL's Carbonara Pasta.

Nike’s outlet was our first stop for shopping but obviously, everything in there was way off my budget. We soon shopped in little groups as everyone had different tastes. At 2p.m., there was an orchestra performance from some high school at the main court. Caught me by surprise to see so many guitars. The usual strings and wind-brass instruments came in later.

Orchestra and choir in action. Spot LL.

ESprit's models. Just outside ESprit's outlet.

The violin duel CD was uber good. And I love it how KL CD shops let you listen to the discs using the headphones.

1st day's shopping at Pavillion. I bought nothing =.=
For dinner, we walked to the nearby Sungei Wang. I suppose you know how hard it is to find places in this cramped mall. We looked for U-Village but gave up and went to Kim Gary instead. I remember Winy was being unusually quiet and moody ‘cause she did not slept at all the previous night. Naturally, her battery was flat.

True, her battery was so soo flat she slept halfway through the RM18 movie that night! I really should have pinched or tickled you, what a pity. Putting that aside, GSC is brilliant, from the sofa seats to the movie quality to the audio effects. But seriously, I was feeling relieved it wasn’t Transformer we watched or I wouldn’t be able to stand the loud sound system, if Transformer is a full of action and noise movie like I assumed.

Moving up the escalators, which don't exist in Star Cineplex.

Like orang ulu who never been to a cinema.
Reached condo at 12 something after the movie. Most of us were ready to call it a day after bathing, brushing teeth etc. But Winy was as expected, very energetic for she had been half-asleep the whole day. Unfortunately, poor me was sharing a room with her. Tough luck. But still, we were pretty equal. She bothers me at night. I bother her the next morning.
Well well...so this is how long the post of only ONE day of the trip takes..do you guys enjoy it? Or should I talk less? Tell me.
