embarking on the new chapter @ 11:55 PM I hereby announce, that I'm officially in England! :D Before going into that, I really really wanna thank my dear sweeter than sweets friends a zillion times! At Miri Airport, I missed all 6 calls from suyi and only realized it some time after. me : oops! (to mum) suyi called 6 times and I didn't answered! mum : hah? call her back lah. me : umm..nevermind, I'll call when I enter departure hall. (gotta treasure time with mum bah!) mum : who knows they are at airport? me : HAHA! no lah! i bet they're out together. dad : outside? here? me : NOoo..not here! I mean they went out together. dad : oh oh.. (previous convo continues...) 5 mins later.. *gasp* *sees some familiar faces popping out 10m away* *stupified* Look what they got me! :D Someone now has companions in UK! And the purse I was ranting about all the time but didn't get it! Thanks thanks thanks~I was totally totally so touched. You guys made my day, I wasn't feeling very good before that. I'm missing you all fyi! Look forward to going back and seeing you guys okay? =P Just another 9 more months!! Strawberries for ya, suyi =) Stayed overnight in Tune Hotel at LCCT before flying for London. My last steps in Malaysia before leaving XD The 12+ hours flight with AirAsia was surprisingly, very pleasant and comfortable! I find the seat quite spacious, unlike what I had been hearing all the time. Check-in baggage weight was overweight by 1.5kg, oopsie, but no charges were made without us voicing we are students or whatsoever. In flight, the air crew were really friendly, plus the captains(I salute you! XD) did a great job flying cause it was a rather smooth flight all the way and the landing was thumbs-up as well. You see, everything was so nice I didn't felt like landing, waddaheck. But of course, nothing is perfect. First, there was this angmoh toddler in the family sitting in the same row across the aisle from me. Kids this age, are angels when they sleep, little devils when they are awake. She was practically wailing with all her might from time to time, for example, while I'm asleep. Anyways, her uber cuteness and 'adorableness' covered up all my despair-to-come. Chicken lasagne for the 1st meal! Too hungry for pics when 2nd meal came =P Touched down at Stansted Airport earlier than scheduled, and very surprised that no one asked for my medical report/X-ray/university letter. All I used was the passport. Lols. After freezing in the carpark loading our baggages into the car we rented, we made our way to Holiday Inn Express where my 1st night in UK was spent! The carpark there was f-u-l-l and we had to park far far away at the Mid-Stay carpark, walked in the horribly cold weather at midnight to our hotel. My teeth chattered till I thought they might dropped off. The pillows were actually labelled ''soft'' or ''hard''. Umm yeah. I started to write my blog post on my 1st day but never had chance to online and blog it! Breakfast! Should have eaten more and grabbed some butter and cheese from there! Navigating in a car from London to Nottingham ain't no easy task. We got a bit lost on the way, ok ok, my bad (the roads are soo soo complicated okay??). But all the same, we got to do some sightseeing of a pretty little place called ..err I forgot lols. My best meal in UK so far, though the 3 of us shared that single order of fish and chips. £4.90 for one! That's why I have been eating fruits and bread, especially Greggs' jam doughnuts which are 3 for £1 XD Let's see how I survive for the next 4 years. The vege are so darn pricey WHY. =( Poultry are way worse. Maybe I'll just eat plain hot porridge using my rice cooker. The oh so lovely bread but umm, one baguette you see in there, the long ones, can cost £2++. I wanna go to University of Nottingham! So much nicer than Manchester, oopsie.Apple trees in front of my sis' place, Aston Court. I'm pretty familiar with Nottingham City Centre now after spending 2 days there, 1 day sleeping in the car even (till I almost turned to frozen meat after midnight and get pains with my awkward sleeping position). So get me if you need a tour guide in Nott haha..ah wait, only when I'm there.. This is where I'm staying for the next 1 year - Weston Hall. I guided my dad from Nottingham to Manchester better than a GPRS woohoo! I'm better than a map! Cause a map can't talk to you when you drive whilst I can! Passed through some beautiful-to-the-extreme countryside area on the way here during a west bound 13 miles stretch. My dad must had been tired listening to me say, "OMG! So beautiful!" These are the best my phone can give =( Imagine it yourself yeah! Rolling green pastures, deep valleys, big blue lake, little cottages with daint flowers..aww. In the Old Quadrangle of my uni. Stay tuned for my next post..I'm exhausted~And wish me luck in finding new friends...I wonder wonder wonder where my flatmates are! I'm gonna sit in our flat's corridor or common room till they appear if I still don't get a chance to greet them by Sunday night.
2 muffins for me
