dinners @ 7:42 PM

I'm really not starving here in Manchester. In fact, it should be the opposite, with one or two feasts every week. Good food seldom fails to lighten up our coursework/lab-reports/PBL-burdened souls anyway. So no harm giving ourselves little treats, as long as we keep an eye on the budget. :)

What could be better than a steaming hot pot of steamboat on a cold night? Hmm, wait, it was quite stuffy in the common room :P

Singaporeans Lionel, Hanhui, and Lyn; sis and Samantha from Tennessee, US! Thanks to Hanhui and Lyn for preparing all the steamboat ingredients!

Mini hot dogs, crab sticks, meatballs, fishballs.

Eggs, capsicum and mushrooms.

Pork. meat of pig. XD

Irrestible :)

War of the dong fen.

Chocolate oreo cheesecake!! too yummy for words.

It was a wonderful dinner, yeah, we don't need you free pizza :P Amazing how we actually managed to finish almost everything! Hope Samantha enjoyed the steamboat which she never had before. Lucky her, she's going back home this Christmas! In her hometown, they get to have real Christmas trees to decorate! How nice...and baking Christmas cookies plus loads of other cheery stuff you do together with friends and family! Envious :P

***

Potluck again last night! More of a ChemEng dinner, except for EeJane, Arthur and Yit Lin. 12 of us altogether - the maximum number of people the tables can accomodate.

Everything chopped up. Waiting to be cooked.

Sarah and the potatoes :P Are you dancing, Matthew?

Lemon chicken.

Bak Kut Teh.

Cheesy potatoes.

Rendang chicken.

Chinese leaf, eggs and potatoes.

Korean style spicy mixed vege.

..and the feast begins!

Dinner ain't complete without desserts :D Viennetta vanilla ice-cream!

Mint ice cream? And there was also raspberry swirl ice cream which was too soft :(

Cranberry juice + olive oil + soy sauce + ??

After desserts is always drinking game which I always play the role of the spectator T.T sigh. This kind of moment, I really do miss my best buddies, like bully said, our singing+piano+violin at vh's house, beach strolls and midnight to dawn crappings etc.

Loohlooh trying to get away from her punishment of drinking the lovely drink.

The rest of the night was spent deciding whether or not to go to some Black/White/Grey party at some club called Pure. I was just watching and waiting for the cups to return them to sis' flat, then rushed back to online thinking someone is waiting for me. @.@ Apparently she wasn't. So I went to bed to be awakened at God knows what time by some guys chatting and laughing loudly outside in my flat's corridor. I bore with it for 5 mins, then was just about to open the door to tell them off when they went away.

It repeated again after I dozed off - exactly like the annoying fire alarm that night! I am getting rather bothered by these interruptions, brr..and noisy parties at Retro Bar, maybe I should move to Yellow Core, so peaceful and quiet there. XD
