I ate mooncake! Wheeeee!! :D

Almost jumped for joy when chiakhuan phoned me to ask us go eat mooncake - sent by boo's mother to him. It really was the very first thing that came into sight as we entered his room that day..and I shouted "mooncakeee!!" like I found the 8th wonder of the world. XD

1st week of "official" lectures has passed in a blink of the eye. I don't have lectures on Friday, which is tomorrow. yay :D sis can have a longer weekend to rest properly and get well - her turn to fall victim to fever and coughs. Speaking of which, the coughings in the lecture hall is terrible. Maybe that's how the virus got to sis..the lecture hall must be awfully contaminated with half the class coughing and sneezing. Sigh..anyways, get healthy soon, sis!! =)

There's a problem about our lecture halls I think. First, (applies only to C2), it was freezing cold yesterday during the lecture cause the fire exit door that connects to the outside was open wide. So hard to focus when your limbs are icy cold. Another thing is the seats..they are soo cramped! You have to stuff everything on your lap cause there isn't much space on the table, assuming the seats beside you are occupied as well.

PASS session is b-o-r-i-n-g. I would have find it less appealing than lectures, if not for the fact that FREE BISCUITS are provided for us everytime. Such a delight. We had a sort of ice-breaking session today to start with where we have to write down 3 things about yourself and share them out. So lame right? Thus I said lame things as well cause I couldn't think of what there is to say about myself except for I have 2 eyes, 2 ears, 1 nose and 1 mouth. No, I didn't say that, don't worry. I said I am from Sarawak, Malaysia (they probably don't know where it is anyway), I play the violin and I really love to eat. Felt like creeping under the table..cause Dmitrijis sitting next to me actually worked as a clown in a circus before; Jonathan on the other side appeared on tv once. How uninteresting my life is.

And so, what I have enjoyed most up till now is of course, the PBL(Problem-Based Learning) session! To me, it's like doing maths - with bits of chem and physics - in a group. We are supposed to discuss everything together but everyone just dig in individually until a problem surfaces. That's why I feel happier in PBL. In lectures, we are busy listening and copying - can't even talk in Dr. Grant Campbell's class =P. In PASS, I don't know what to ask Stephen and Andy so I just sit and munch biscuits and listen to them talking. In PBL, I get to enjoy solving questions wth, and teach people how to do! :D okays, truthfully, sometimes it's the other way round :P

The fire alarm just rang again 10 mins ago!! 3rd ringing this week. This time it was due to some cooker in our blue core area. =.= Someone must have burnt his cooking. Strange that my flat's alarm didn't go off though, I could only hear the one outside distantly. Opened my door to see Aydin and Issra going out, asked them dumbly if we had to evacuate. Obviously we had to. So I did, after returning to my room to grab phone..locking the door etc. Thus I was one of the last ones out again. I hope I won't be when there's a real fire. =/
