So I actually spent 5 pounds for a Christmas ball. Clap hands. It was held by Careena's church - King's Church just a stone's throw away from her hall. Since it's a 3 course dinner, held in a church, not too far away, a Christmas thing, cheap-says everyone, I made the decision to attend!
Careena, Jasmin and I with the raspberry + pineapple juice :)
My 1st time pulling open Christmas crackers! I got a green party hat, a cold joke card and a cute yellow froggie eraser :P
Main course consists of chicken, meatballs, potatoes, carrots, broccoli, brussel sprouts etc with gravy and yummy cranberry sauce!
Before I managed to savour all the desserts, it was dancing time and we were half-forced to move to the "dancing area", where I stood like a log, trying to look at somewhere that doesn't have blinking lights that make me dizzy...and wistfully watched the mince pies on the table get cleaned up :(
Anyways, it was a fairly enjoyable night, minus out the watch people dance part and what I spent ages doing after I came back, (hoh, sis?). The best thing is? Now I have a solid excuse to reject parties and stuff and no one can say, "You have to try one at least!" Bwahaha.. :D

This thursday was such a happy day! Last lectures for our 1st semester by the best lecturer who started off by telling us a really sad story in which a butterfly dies after coming out of the coccoon. So we learnt in our heat transfer class that the process of a butterfly wriggling out of its coccoon is actually for pumping blood into its wings so that it can fly. Did you know that? :)
To my greatest delight, it started SNOWING that very afternoon! I couldn't helped but got uber excited and fascinated by this white fluffy stuff that actually looks and feels just like ice frozen at the sides of ice-cream freezers in supermarkets.
The last of green leaves covered in frost.
At night, I pulled sis, Chiakhuan and Lionel along to Candlelights Carols at Holy Name Church.
Hundreds of candles, held in everyone's hands. It must look like a dark sky beautifully lit up by twinkling bright stars.
The awesome choir singing their hearts out upstairs behind us. I wish I have the time to join it. I miss singing in a choir, praising and worshipping as a group...
Gentle snowfall as the carol service ended. It was absolutely breathtaking, standing further away and gazing up at the church amidst the soft snow.
The weather was bone-chilling though, sending shivers down our back.
Solution? Hot coffee, tea and milk with mince pies! Why oh why are mince pies so yummy. I actually ate 4 in a row before my guilt arises.
On the way back to our hall...taking random shots here and there.
University Place. Gonna have lectures here next sem! :D
My christmas tree fetish :P
I wonder how much does our Uni spends on Christmas deco? With christmas tress in practically all the buildings..
Alan Turing? School of Economics or Business I guess.
A rare garden-like area in the uni area.
The sky was quite bright with white clouds, somehow.
Footprints in the snow!
I spy! 4 somebodies waiting/shivering...my apologies XD
The snow just makes me all high and happy, skipping and running in the cold, but hey, that kept me warm and energetic enough to snap pics all the way without scarf, gloves or winter coat.
If only they aren't wilted :(
Spooky spooky..the Material Science building.
