I lost count of the number of times I travelled to Kota Kinabalu. Perhaps it's 10? or more? Nevertheless, I don't mind going for another 10 times. Hello?? The seafood there is fantalicious! So, off I went again early this month. Main purpose is cousin's wedding though.

The 1st destination after a speed-through breakfast was Pan Pacific Hotel at Sutera Harbour. Dad stayed there the night before and went to collect something.
External view of Pan Pacific.
Then we zoomed to Magellan Hotel which was just next door. Miss its lovely pools and slides.
Part of the guest rooms.
Forgot to mention. My cousin's wedding ceremony was held here. The church the bride attended was actually located in the hotel. Well, in other words, the church rented a supposedly ballroom permanently for all events, eg. masses, worships, gatherings and yes, weddings.
Wedding card. Came across it in Salvation Bookstore!=)

Cool stage with keyboard, guitars, drum set.

I'm early!

Wedding cake! Super delicious. Point is, all 3 layers are of different flavours!

The wedding dinner venue. A seafood restaurant.

*shaky hands effect* Purple balloons!

So the night was quite fun. The live band hired sang 'The Prayer' - I was thinking, wow, they have good taste. It turned out that the newlyweds chose the songs themselves. And oh, the gigantic prawns served were really goody! I wondered how much I ate..'cause my parents were sitting at the VIP table, my cousins kept asking me to eat more - the benefit of being a guest! Of course, I have my way of handling things. Ahem, an example:

(When only a little bit of the dish is left)
"Caroline, eat more lah! Very nice one!"

"Heh, never mind. You have it. I still have some."

"No no..I'm very full already. You eat!"

"Ohh..okay lah. So full also, haha."

(happily takes the last serving)

Don't laugh. I bet a lot of people are the same. At least I tell the truth! Besides, almost forgot to mention something. LISTEN, if you are by any chance visiting KK, don't stay at the Courtyard Hotel, 1 Borneo. Why?

1. Service at concierge is extremely slow.

2. Car park is hard to find. If you park at the shopping mall carpark, prepare for a long walk.

3. There's only one lift. A weeny, crappy lift that squeaks a lot.

4. There are construction workers loitering around the corridors.

5. The room is way too small. If the TV was not flat-screen LCD, you won't have space to walk past the bed. May cause danger to ppl with claustrophobia.

6. It's just few months old. I see a big crack in the glass btw the bathroom and bedroom.

7. The bathroom door opens up a narrow space for entering. Obese ppl may have difficulties.

8. (For my case) This is very serious. No window. Fine, there is one. But it is fake. Outside of the window is a corridor, there was even some hammer or other tools lying on the floor. My mum was worrying that those workers could break in to the room easily. I was chirping:"See? I told you guys the room seem to have no windows when I checked online. You guys don't believe."

Conclusion: We moved to all-time fav Promenade Hotel the next day.

End of story. =)

About retail therapy. First time I went to 1 Borneo. It's so new anyway. Lots of branded stores like ESPIRIT, Padini Concept, G2000, LEVI's etc. Tune store as well. I was more interested in the eateries though, and end up I didn't even have 1 meal in them. Hmm.

Main entrance. Big santa and 2 little santas.

Entrance to the Courtyard Hotel. It's the furthest from the shopping mall.

Evening view. Tall building on left is Novotel. On right is Mercure. Choose these two if you wanna stay at 1Borneo. And please book online. The price can differ from RM170+ to RM790+.

Fairytale castle at Centre Court. Right, it has North Court and South Court like Mid Valley.

Colourful, striking christmas tree.

Reindeer and snowman with Santa's sleigh.

They should hang a tag on him with the words " I'm Frosty!" Haha.

Looking up from the centre of Centre Court.

Glitter glitter.
Home Essence stall at Centre Court.

A photography exhibition cum talk at 1st floor.

Hello birdie.

Yummy-looking cakes at Promenade I never get to taste. wail.

Christmas goodies.

Gingerbread train at lobby.

Another shopping haven. Warisan Square. Within walking distance from Promenade Hotel. Marina Apartments too. Le Meridien not bad either. If you're plain lazy, there's the Imperial Hotel in it. Lol, am I advertising for these hotels?

Wine shop. I felt like going in to poke around but didn't dare to. Not like I'm gonna make a purchase. Just curious~

I went in and out of FOS in 3 minutes. My mum got stuck in FOS for about half an hour. Then I see this T-shirt. "There's no cure for complusive shopping."
Overjoyed at the sight of Big Apples.

Gotta try all of them in the future!

Cappucino. It's bitter for a non coffee-lover. But dunking the free doughnut into it makes a good combination!

Would someone please get me the California Almond doughnut and cheese doughnut?? I wish I have Doraemon's machine that can reproduce any food endlessly.
YeaH! Japanese meal! This HANA is located at City Mall. Another shopping complex. I had forgotwhat'sthename - garlic rice with chicken, seaweed etc in a bowl. The miso soup was nice too - bit salty actually. The baked cheese tempura was finger-licking good! There was prawn eggs on top, served with salad. Cholesterol what? =P

Love this! So sweet~I bought smaller ones. Show them another time.

My new furry friend Rudolph says it's time for me to stop blogging. My head is getting dizzy. Thanks for reading...this rusty blog.
P/S: Photos with human beings in it are in camera's memory card. I'm too lazy to upload them. These are all from my 2 mgpixel handphone.
