KL Trip - Part 2 @ 9:39 PM

3rd July

Proud to say I woke up the earliest at 6 something and started my revenge on Winy who threw my plush puppy onto the floor! Talk about cruelty. The others started waking up while I took my bath. Then the bathroom-snatching war happened again. Of course, the sleeping cruella was the last one to bath.

We managed to go out for breakfast only after 10, headed to the back of KL Plaza, and finally settled for an old coffee shop which LL recommended. Pollux had met up with us too. The nnf all ordered the fried kuay teow. Thumbs-up!

Chee cheong furn. Kind of sweet compared to Miri's.

Fresh from the oven egg tarts and shao pao. Gave such a lovely aroma at the coffee shop. But we brought them back to eat at the condo. I remembered being the only one eating quietly while the others were talking. haha.

We wandered around Lot 10's Isetan and Sungei Wang for a while after that. I made my first purchase - a grey jacket from Romp. I had seen it the day before and spent a day deciding whether to buy it or not. Very typical of me ehh? In the afternoon, we set off for KLCC. Dumb me thought we had to go to KL Sentral first by monorail until someone pointed out we can make a transit at Hang Tuah station. So we 'monorailed' to Hang Tuah and walked quite some distance before arriving at the Dang Wangi station. There, we took the underground Rapid KL to KLCC. Damn packed the train was!

We spent ages in like, 4 or 5 shops. Then stopped for teabreak at 1901's cause our tummies were all growling. Got to say that the hot dogs plus mashed potatoes there are delicious! I am so yearning for one now..ooff. Recharged, we continued shopping. More specifically, we were glued to Isetan. The reason?

*gasp* Mega Sales!! The nnf comes from some rural village and never seen such a thing. I came out with a pair of Goggles jeans and a HP tee bought at last minute.

It took forever for the elevator to arrive. We went to 4th floor where my heart belongs! But the 'closed' sign at Petrosains gave me a heartbreak at once. It was supposed to be a highlight of my trip! T.T *blames it all on Isetan*
At least there was still Kinokuniya to lift my spirits a bit. Dinner came later at the food court. I ate teppanyaki chicken noodles, or something like that. Poor suyi ordered a hot spicy dish again without knowing it, too much pepper in it I think. I accompanied LL as she finished up her food while the others left first for more shopping. As we joined mau and winy at Levi's later, LL phoned suyi who said that CJ had a nosebleed! So we hurried up and decided to go back at once. The shops were already closing anyways, haha.
Exterior look of the lobby of Dewan Philharmonic. Gorgeous it was, the interior, with a grand staircase that swept up from one side and large posters of performances/musicals going on recently.

The best I could took for we were scurrying to take taxis. Speaking of the taxis, we needed 2 for 6 people. The first one asked for RM15. Since that was the price we heard from others before and it was running late, we agreed to it. CJ, suyi and winy piled in and went off. The 2nd taxi runs on meter, and mau, LL and I stared at the meter device in the car the moment we got in. We noticed the figures were rising non-stop even when the taxi was stationary. Naturally, we thought it was going to be an expensive ride, hearts sinking. But after our mini-research, that figure was the duration, not the fare. The fare was atop it, and upon reaching KL Plaza, we laughed among ourselves, that can't be the fare, it's too cheap! Then the taxi driver said,' It's RM 4.80'. My mouth went O. Out of the taxi, we were regretting endlessly about the 1st taxi.
What's more? The 1st taxi let the 3 down somewhere at Sungei Wang and according to them, gave them wrong directions. Thus, poor threesome had a hard time finding their way back with sore legs. And you can imagine their reactions when they knew about our taxi fare.

4th July
I didn't wake up too early because for the 4 or 5 times I was about to doze off the night before, cruella woke me up. The theta and beta waves must had gotten all mixed up in my brain thanks to her. You can be sure I gave her a payback right after I woke up.

For breakfast, we walked to the infamous Jalan Alor. Not much stalls were operating in the morning though. But Pollux recommended a shop there so we went in search of it. I forgot the name. It's halfway down the street on the left if you walked from the junction nearer to Lot 10.
I don't quite see why it's called wantan mee. I could only find three meager wantan in the bowl of soup.

Chao Hor Fun. Salty.

Fried Kuay Teow. Not as good as the one we had at old coffee shop.

We did something funny by taking the monorail to Times Square. Getting off at the first station XD Times Square was much more packed compared to the last time I went there. Many little shops and Debenhams was gone.
Roger Federer and the giant tennis racquet. Cool.

We wound up at a Teppanyaki eatery after a fruitless wait at Sushi King. Contemporary and satisfying meal of white rice with the chicken, bean sprouts and cabbage.
My buyings at Times Square were a Body Glove polo shirt and a facial cleanser. For your information, the RM10.90 cleanser has been thrown away by my mum because it's made in China. What a waste of my money..sobs.
LL, CJ and suyi took the monorail back again. mau, winy and I walked to Low Yat for mau wanted to pick up his new Samsung Omnia. Alas, the salesperson forgot to take the stock from somewhere else. Disenchanted, mau purhased external hard disks as winy and I were on a lookout for cameras. She wants a pro SLR camera. I want a slim, easy-to-use Lumix. Sony's too pricey, ain't it? Figuring the monorail would be overcrowded by evening, we walked back to the condo. Oh right, there was this man selling umbrellas who chanted,'' Umbrellas, umbrellas, buy one free one, 2 for RmX ...''. And we imitated him all the way back to the condo's door, pressing the doorbell and making noise...to realize that it's LL's cousins inside. *embarassed* Who knows these people were still shopping at Lot 10??
suyi returned in a uber high mood which lasted throughout the rest of the day, singing ''ella..ella..''. So everyone heard the umbrella-seller! We bathed and chit-chatted until night time, getting ready for our eating spree at Pavillion.

A huge crowd was gathered at the entrance of Pavillion when we went there. Apparently, there were these models dressed in all sorts of weird and special costumes in splashing colours. People were taking photographs for free so why should we miss the fun!

Mr. Feather? Models sure are tall.

This costume was so funny and cute! The model had a gun on his head..and little teddy bears hanging all around his clothes.

The prettiest. But what's with CJ's expression?

1st stop - Ichiban Boshi. No tables so we waited.
And waited.
And observed the chef. And we left.

Landed at Yo!Sushi. The prices for the food seemed a bit high so we make-do with a little sushi handrolls and tea. Then we scampered away again.

Nasi Lemak at Madam Kwan's. Surprised to see Madam Kwan herself standing at the entrance welcoming the customers. Perhaps she received news that the nnf was coming, lols. I'm not sure whether it is the Madam Kwan actually but seems to be her.

Chicken floss mushroom noodles. Good combination of ingredients.
winy's Chicken Rice has got to be the best. Chicken meat was nice. And I personally like the green bunch of mess on top of the meat. Hah.

Time for desserts. LL had been talking about the ice-cream here. It's called Hokkaido ice-cream. I was particularly excited at the sight of ice-cream =D Evolved into an ice-cream addict lately.

Shared this vanilla+caramel ice-cream with winy. I never knew tang yuan, or japanese dumplings as mentioned in menu, goes so well with ice-cream!

Here's a spoon for you!

Ice-cream all gone.

suyi, LL, me and winy.
It's fake, mind you.

Same goes for this. Plenty of these models around the shop. Feeling super full, we dragged ourselves back. The boys retreated to sleep the fastest. Winy, suyi and I planned to watch Home Alone 3 so LL went to bed too. So we set up the sofa bed in the living room, grab pillows etc and started the movie. 10 minutes later, suyi escaped to bed. I was a bit soggy in the beginning but became more awake towards the epicentre of the movie and was soon laughing at the dumb baddies. Winy stayed wide awake throughout the movie, did you?
