It's all white outside..high hopes of a white christmas in Great Britain!
On the first day of our holidays, Lionel prepared the dough for shortbread while sis and I shaped them into whatever shapes that popped up in mind. I love my star, christmas tree and snowman! However..
Only Frosty the Snowman is found in the jar of the shortbread Lionel passed us. Star was broken :( Tree was nowhere to be seen!
Assorted biscuits from the Christmas market at Brazennose Street. Somehow I managed to talk my brain into buying things at the market that day. 7 pounds of Dutch almond cake, cinnamon biscuits, cinammon+almond biscuit and gingernut biscuits! Half are for friends and family lah, okays...Marks and Spencer biscuits for mummy and daddy too!
Last meal of the year cooked by Lionel! He mysteriously had something to do at night and just gave us the big pan of spaghetti before scurrying away. Thanks anyway! And enjoy sweating profusely in Singapore. XD
A serene Sunday morning on the city streets blanketed with snow.
The dome building which I still don't know what it is.
Manchester Peace Garden :) Very peaceful indeed.
Behind the town hall.
Greeted by snow plummeting everywhere as everyone came out from church. The feeling was just wonderful, the instance you take in the beautiful picture right before your eyes.
Can you see Eye of Manchester sitting afar?
Braving the snow that almost drenched my jacket, and me, I finally arrived at Arndale.
And the snow carried on endlessly as I miraculously bought a jacket, beanies, scarf and gloves from Marks and Spencer + Primark.
Stumbled across this fellow on my way home.
A snowy Chinatown.

But then again, every grain has its bran. Snow is scenic, yeah, but ohh the troubles and inconvenience it brings. Slippery paths, ice bits hitting the face, wet feet, awfully dirty roads...alright, put these aside. The worst has got to be transportation complications, stuff like flight or train cancellations. Gosh, the disappointment they bring to people who just wanna reunite with family for a warm Christmas. Those kind of times you'll just wish that the snow would stop. I hope my train to London runs as scheduled tomorrow! :S
