WARNING: This is a word heavy post with 0% image.

It is destined that the rate of blogging plunges worst during holidays. For two very simple reasons. No.1, there are plenty of other interesting stuff to do, be it onlining or away from the laptop. No.2, I haven't thought of anything to blog about, well just one, but it's not the time yet. Thus the dead blog this week. Actually these statements I'm making sound familiar. I wonder if I have posted the same things before, lol. 1000 apologies for that if so...you've gotta consider the aging memory of mine. Do tell me if you happen to know any proven effective way of improving human memory! *desperate* XD

It has been a rather peaceful holiday so far. Meeting up with friends and dating with my laptop or violin at home. Lovely life ehh? But I'll probably turn into a fungus if I were to live like that all my life. Lalala..

As you can see, I'm just talking crap here to lengthen my post. Pathetic to the max T.T Maybe I should have watched some World Cup matches so I can comment something about them. From what I know, Europe performed quite badly with only 6 countries qualifying for the 16. Asia has South Korea and Japan making their way in somehow, which is a great achievement already..since Asia is certainly not well-known for football all along. *clap hands* S.Korea shall be playing against Uruguay tonight to fight for a place in the 8 rounds. The later is without doubt a stronger team but anyway, the World Cup this year has been unpredictable and surprising so who knows? Anything in the future lies unknown before it happens and no one can say for sure how things will turn out to be like. Good luck to all the teams..

Speaking of football teams, I can't help but feel sorry for the North Korea players. Coming from a destitute country, their wages are rumoured to be a mere RM5.65 per month(and this just makes Rooney's or Ronaldo's salaries more outrageous!). It is the North Korea's team 1st appearance on Fifa World Cup in 44 years and I guess that explains the streaming tears of Jong Tae-Se during their national anthem. I don't know how much hardship they went through to get into the 32 teams but I'm sure it won't be less than any other teams'. Despite the fact that there probably weren't any North Koreans cheering for them on spot(the strict communist land bans the citizens from leaving their country freely), the players still tried their best with dignity without any fouls. They've got my respect :) Doesn't matter that they failed to qualify for the final 16 because the way they played was still better than deliberate acts or spiteful tactics used by some foolish players.

Besides, it's sad to see the adversity they face in South Africa - quote from Brian Phillips at Yahoo! Sports - "because they can't afford better accommodations, they're doing some training in a public gym in Johannesburg... you can see them running routes around guys on the way to the Stairmaster, taking tourist videos of musclemen, and playing keepie-uppie in the aisle between rows of weight machines. In the meantime, the Brazilian players are smoking thousand-dollar bills in a hotel made out of Bentleys." It's always touching to see how the less privileged are more grateful than those with the upper hand. I can't find it online but there were pictures I came across on the newspapers showing the NK players looking at the sea with bright smiles, happily eating the food provided and watching movie at the cinema. Simply epic. Imagine how their daily lives are like for them to be so contented with these stuff.

But what is worrisome is the fate that awaits the team when they get home. The heavy loss might be seen as an embarassment to Kim Jong Il and the consequence it leads to is not at all a pleasure to think of. Baah, just thinking about the ruthless dictatorship in the country where human right doesn't exist flares people up. It's a wonder how the residents there live with such absurd civil liberties. Still can't accept the way the ruling party thinks and handles issues, just like how I can't imagine Lady Gaga as a person. The more I ponder about these subjects, the more confused I get. x.x So I guess better stop my ramblings here before I get condemned by the numerous parties I have probably offended above. come on, it's just a mixture of facts and personal opinions. take it or leave it =P

And I have to salute whoever actually read this post word by word. Heartfelt gratitude to you, lol!

You're welcome! I read everything! LOL! I don't really watch the world cup matches but you made a lot of sense especially about the North Korean players.
