Day 2 of 1st week passed by slightly better than day 1. Though the stuff we worked on was just 10 times harder than what we had on the previous day. The day's schedule focused on our milk powder plant solely so all day long, we were cracking our brains on it - things like flowrate of the milk through our plant, how big the pipelines should be, how frequent we should clean the equipments...up to labour cost and gross profit for the 1st year. You won't wanna know how much it costs to set up a plant producing 5000 tonnes of powdered milk.
Worse even, Derek, Fang and I came up with basically nothing after screening through Dr. Van Ness' information googled. It was beyond my capability to correlate thermodynamics to producing milk powder, all known was it had something to do with the evaporator but I have no idea what DVN would do to it!
Somehow, we pulled through day 2 and hence, came day 3 - day of presentation! My group was one of the 11 in Ferranti building, along with others like Bird(the funniest group name), Schowalter etc.
Ferranti building.
I was almost late on presentation day, eating toasts with sis too happily. Sis' group presented in Renold's which was nearer =/ while a paranoid me as usual was walking as fast as my legs could carry me. The room was pretty full already by the time I entered it. Had to sit right in front right in the middle with my group in a row behind me.
1st presentation slide of my group. so happie with all the compliments for handwriting :D
Our group's turn was no.4 I think, with Craig, Rob and the leader whom of all ppl I forgot his name. He's a pretty smart and witty Indian guy. Basically the questions thrown at our group by Dr. Curtis and everyone else were answered by him and Rob. I wish I can be a better presenter some day.
A corridor in Ferranti...
We were gonna have lunch in Chinatown initially but it started raining and so we changed our minds. Sis and I returned to our dear hall for lunch, those meanies actually went for nasi lemak!! In the afternoon we set foot to Picadilly Train Station for sis' vodafone thing. We waited and waited in the Vodafone outlet but the only guy on duty was servicing a Sainsbury guy. Then we decided to shop at Sainsbury first. When we came out, the Vodafone shop's shuttler was almost closed. I thought maybe the guy would attend to us since we waited for so long earlier on, so I knocked on the glass panel and waved like an idiot outside but the guy was just soooo engrossed in doing his accounts and sorting the cash T.T
In the end we just dropped by Marks and Spencer food store and walked back. I BOUGHT THE MILK CHOCOLATE DIGESTIVES. :D
